TransMitt - If you get caught in the rain, or want to sail in cold weather, you will want to protect your hands, AND your radio. This fantastic TransMitt is the ticket.
A waterproof marine canvas is lined with soft, warm fleece. A zipper on the bottom opens for easy installation of your radio. Inside the zipper is a pocket that holds special wet weather grommets that fit around the antenna to keep water from running down inside. The clear panel allows you to see the face of your radio. In case you don't know it, you cannot feel the controls of your radio if you are wearing gloves, so just stick your hands up inside where it is cozy and dry. Also has a well placed D-ring to attach your neck lanyard. Rechargeable Battery System - This is the very finest system we have ever offered. It includes top quality Nickel Metal Hydride, AA sized, batteries. These batteries are rated over 500 charging cycles. We supply 8 batteries for the transmitter, and 4 more for the on-board systems. Together you will get 5-6 hours of sailing time on each charge. The best part is the custom made Charger. Since we couldn't buy what we wanted, we contracted to have our own configuration made. With our two lead charger, you plug one lead right into the side of the radio, and the other lead into the on-board battery pack. Make sure you understand what I just told you. You never touch the batteries again ~ plug here, plug there, and forget until the next time you go sailing. You cannot overcharge either, nor can you ruin your batteries with a high speed charge. This kit comes with instructions for use, and to install the special pigtail to your boat system so you don't need to open the boat to get to the on-board batteries.
